Pam Jenkins ~ Original pastel paintingsHaving always been interested in art, I majored in art for a year in college, but then decided I wanted to make teaching young children my career. No regrets! However, about 10 years ago, I fell in love with pastel painting. The pure color and the actual soft textures have also drawn me to weaving, spinning and other fiber arts over the years, and really attracted me to this medium for painting. Many of the paintings you see here are dispalyed in my home and some are for sale. Landscapes are my favorite subject as I love looking at the effect of light on land, air and water. How blessed I feel to get to live in such a beautiful part of the world. It is such a pleasure to render my impressions of it and share them with others. |
